Blog Post #7: Midpoint

Our group turned in our Midpoint project this past week. When I started this program, I never imagined myself working on an app with a small team. Going into the Midpoint, I was personally a bit nervous for myself. I was handling our Welcome and Home page and the overall UI which is a pretty big responsibility. I was essentially “starting” the project, for my group members would follow suit after I pushed my work.

After watching numerous React Native videos, it was pretty exciting! Styling was a pain in the a**, but working on the Android emulator was really fun. My group did run into a small issue. One of my group members was tasked with setting up the topic and comment page. After they pushed their work, we realized that they coded in React.JS instead of React Native. We addressed the problem immediately and decided to pivot roles last minute. Regardless, we turned in our project on time, and we were proud on the work that accomplished.
