Cognos BI is web-based; once you have secured access approval, use this URL: https://cognos.ous.edu/ibmcognos to log on.
When the ‘Log on’ window appears, drop down the list of sites and select the one that corresponds to your site (e.g., SOULDAP for SOU) and click OK. Enter your campus network ID and password (ONID if you’re on the OSU campus), then click OK again.
You should see the Cognos Connection Welcome page:

When you see a Welcome Page similar to the one above, you’re in!
Tip: Returning to the Welcome Page from inside Cognos is simple, but not very intuitive. You need to click on the little drop-down arrow to the right of the “?” on the Cognos Connection toolbar and select “Go to the Welcome Page.” It looks like this:
