Installation
Please contact John Peters to download the latest version of Framework Manager.
Just point your web browser to the address emailed to you and it will offer to download the .zip archive. Once it downloads, use a program like 7-Zip or WinZip to extract the files from the archive. When the extraction is done, you’ll need to run this program to install FM: <Your extract location>\win32\issetup.exe.
Configuration
In addition to installing Framework Manager, the installer will also build a new version of the Cognos Configuration program. This will need to be executed prior to running the new Framework Manager.
When you run Cognos Configuration, it will display a series of configuration parameter categories in an Explorer-style tree. Most of the parameters can remain at their default value, but under Environment are two parameters that must be supplied. The entries (and values) are:
Gateway URI:
https://cognos.ous.edu:443/ibmcognos/cgi-bin/cognos.cgi
Dispatcher URI for external applications:
http://cognos.ous.edu:9300/p2pd/servlet/dispatch
