Community Science or Citizen Science:
Throughout this conference, you will be learning from various experts about natural history and programs in which you as Master Naturalists can participate. Many will use the term citizen science, which is the most common phrase used by the field AND the Oregon Master Naturalist Program. During this conference, we’re choosing to use a different term instead. In our printed and web material, you’ll see the term community science or community-engaged science. We think this is a more inclusive and descriptive way of describing people helping out in the pursuit of scientific understanding. We look forward to the conversation and thought this creates.

The deadline to register is September 27th. To avoid being left out, please don’t delay!
