CRISPR ( Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic reapeats) WHAT! WHAT! is a technology used for genome editing and alterations. Think of CRISPR as a pair of scissors, it can edit cut and alter different gene segments so you can see what it does and how it works. CRISPR is important because it has the potential to delete traits or mutations that are undesirable and genetic mutations that can cause defects. CRISPR also has the potential to add desirable traits such as fixing hearing loss, blindness, or if your like can maybe even growing taller. With the progression of CRISPR we will have superheroes in the future which is very cool.
