Well here we are, we’ve reached the final stretch!
Our Text-Based Adventure Game is right on schedule regarding completion. We’ve finished out the details of the storyline and have all of the specification-required functions up and running as intended.
My area of responsibility, the Text Parser, is performing as designed. The only addition option I’ll try to add if there is enough time is some additionally capability for handling verb synonyms. Other than that, it is complete.
The group will be running the game individually in the upcoming week looking for any bugs in the game logic or tweaks that need to be made to the storyline for continuity. We’ll correct those mistakes, and once the review is done, we’ll finish out by adding some additional ASCII art to significant events in the game to bring them to life just a little bit more.
The end is near, and it feels great. I can’t wait : )
