Volunteer Hours

New Master Woodland Managers are traditionally asked to provide 40 hours of volunteer service within 3 years of completing the training. Any additional hours are not required, but are appreciated and help show the impact of the Master Woodland Manager program.

What counts as volunteer hours? Volunteer hours are any volunteer activity that utilize the education, resources or connections that you acquired through the Master Woodland Manager training and subsequent education opportunities. By volunteering, Master Woodland Managers have significant and local impacts in their communities.

How and when do I report my hours? Volunteer hours are submitted by entering them in the Volunteer Hours Reporting form. Reporting hours is flexible – you can report as you go, or keep you own personal records and share at the end of the year. If you are having any difficulty with the online reporting form, or prefer a different format to share your hours, please contact Sarah Cameron.
