My name is Derek Lyon and this will be the last class I’ll be taking to complete the OSU CS Postbacc. I live in San Diego and currently work as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in the Aerospace field building RF & Microwave microelectronics.
These past years I’ve been using things I’ve learned at OSU to complete increasingly complex projects at work. My last project was to create a configurable test station software to automate a semiconductor probing process and analyze/visualize collected data using tools like tkinter, pandas, matplotlib, and openpyxl.
Lately I’ve been asked to evaluate things like AI/ML, vision systems & image processing, and articulated robotics to achieve factory automation. This is an entirely new field for me so am excited to work on the AI bitcoin trading project and get some experience using AI/ML to automate specific tasks.
