My most recent job was a remote intern at the data analytics company: P3 Adaptive. I would say that the job description impacted my decision to apply a good amount. I had previously only had one real job as an administrative assistant at Directors Mortgage. I enjoyed that job and I found the experience of working in a corporate environment to be valuable, but I knew that I wanted to take the first step in pursuing a career with data analytics. I found out that a close family friend was the COO at a company that had just opened up internship opportunities in the field of data. I did a bit of research into the company and the position and found that I was extremely interested. Since I had zero experience working in the industry and very little experience working in general, I was probably not a great judge of whether or not the job description was impressive or not, but it communicated everything that I wanted to know at the time and sparked my interest so I would say that it was at least decent to good. I was slightly underqualified for the role at the time, which intimidated me during my first few weeks, but the role was very low stakes, and the consultants at the company did a great job of getting me to a point where I could genuinely help out. Now that I have a bit of industry experience, I will be more selective in the application process and thus, I will be more conscious of good and bad job descriptions.

Hi Kyle, the recent job that I had where I wrote about it my blog was similar to yours in the way that their job description also piqued my interest for wanting to apply. I did also get intimidated by what the description asked of its applicants because that would be my first administrative job but it was detailed enough to allow me to be prepared for what the experience had in store for me. I am glad that the role was low-stakes enough for you to provide the help you could for the company. Thanks for sharing!
