For me week 8 had a lot to do with learning how to prototype and create my product. It felt like I was trying to learn how to smooth out the rough edges to create the best product that I can. I thought a lot about exactly what type of product I am creating and how to think more logistically about what I’m doing. It’s important to look at the world around us when designing and to really think about things like incorporating diversity, cultures, and other aspects of the world. I think that our in class activities really help me to take a step back and think about design in terms of my life and our class which has been really helpful. I also enjoyed getting criticism and fresh ideas on my product because I think sometimes I can get into a head space where I think that my way is the best way. But as designers it is really important to be able to take criticism and learn what the user thinks in order to design the best that you possibly can.
