We are coming to the end of the quarter, and I really feel like it flew by extremely quick. I’ll be pretty busy working on the final projects for the Mobile Dev elective course, and also putting in the finishing touches for our Capstone Pet Adoption app. Our team has done an incredible job in building out this mobile app, and from knowing nothing about how to create a mobile app in Flutter/Dart and using Firebase as a backend, we have created something awesome!
It’s been a great experience learning the new technologies, and by no means am I now an expert… Far from it! But I do feel more comfortable with Flutter, and found it to be a very enjoyable piece of software to use. It is probably my favorite tool I’ve used throughout my time at OSU. I plan to further my knowledge in Flutter, and try to build out more simple apps in my own time to show potential employers. I’m not too sure what the Flutter dev job market looks like, so I’ll have to do some research there, but working in Flutter as a full time dev job sounds awesome, and there is so much for me to learn to get to that point, but that seems like a potential avenue I would love to take after graduating from OSU.
