Boeing

The Boeing Company is the largest global aircraft manufacturers that are all over the world.  They are the top U.S. exporters and this company design, manufactures, along with selling airplanes, rockets, and satellites. The products and service that they produce are commercial and military aircraft, satellites, weapons, electronic and defense systems, launch systems, and advanced information and communication systems. Boeing has been a long successful company with innovation in aerospace and progressively creating better and new products.

Boeing was found in Seattle, Washington in 1916, July 16 by William Boeing. He was born in Michigan in a wealthy family that did mining and also used the land as a timber merchant. He attended Yale University and later on left back for his family timber business.  At that time he was interested in boat design and experimented. He then traveled to Seattle, where he found his interest in airplane when he saw a man flying machine. It gave him an idea to build a better one and the Boeing Company began.

Boeing is divided into different business units with one being the Boeing Commercial Airplanes and the other as Boeing Defense, Space and Security. The Boeing Headquarter is located in Chicago, Illinois and across the United States along with more than 65 countries; they have more than 165,000 employees. The current President and Chief Executive Officer is Dennis Muilenburg with Christopher Chadwick as President and Chief Executive Officer, Boeing Defense, Space and Security.

The Boeing mission statement is,
“The Boeing vision is: People working together as a global enterprise for aerospace industry leadership.”

At Boeing, they value diversity because it is important that the company have some diversity due to the customers and locations that are around the word. They also develop leaders creating team work for innovating products, keeping the company running from skilled employees. As stated in their mission statement, their vision is to see team work and diversity building together to gain the aerospace industry.
