My favorite tech on my capstone project thus far has to be the Javascript front end library, React. It breaks down Javascript into components and is super handy with front end work. It has been particularly helpful utilizing the vast library of React and Javascript libraries to build things such as grid systems, easy coding structure with components and props, simplification of the DOM with hooks.
Specific to React, it is used for front end development. It’s particularly good when there is a development need to render only what is changed by say a user on the front end.
It could be made better in ways I have yet to discover!
Other than that, we as a group have not made use of AI beyond chat gpt for some google type questions. But what is interesting is through our group development and goals for the project, workflow and tasks through github actions, there is not that much need for AI beyond writing more efficient and fast code once we have already started those tasks. What I am saying is I am always pleasantly surprised with how much of software development is not coding!
