I chose to take the shorter test and found it to be pretty accurate to my personality. There were five personality traits that I was being tested on. Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness. I was very high on extraversion with a score of 95. This makes a lot of sense because I am very social and outgoing. I love being around people and most of the time have a high energy level. When it came to agreeableness I was average with a score of 47. I was a little shocked that I wasn’t high on this one as well. Agreeableness has to do with concern with others and trust. I have a lot of empathy for everyone so I assumed it would be high, but I think that my lack of trust in people really showed through in this. For Conscientiousness, I was high which was not a surprise. Since before I could remember I always wanted to be in control of things. I am very goal-oriented and driven. I am low in neuroticism, meaning that I am a calm individual. I handle stress really well and for some reason am just not an emotional person. Lastly openness I received a low score as well. Within openness, I scored highest in liberalism which means that I am not afraid to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. Overall I felt like this test was an accurate representation of the person I am.
If an employer were to look at my personality test I think they would find my strengths to be goal oriented, self-efficacy, team oriented, and positive energy. With a high conscientiousness it shows that I am a hard worker always pushing myself and completing tasks. My test shows that I work well with others through an average agreeableness. I have a high altruism letting them know that I enjoy helping others and find it rewarding. Lastly I have a high level of cheerfulness brining a positive energy to the team.
Some weaknesses that they might notice are low trust, high immoderation, and high liberalism. A big takeaway from my test is that I am a very strong-minded individual. This trait can be a strength but also a weakness. When it comes to trust I was low which could be difficult in a team setting. I also had high immoderation meaning that I tend to go for short-term pleasures and rewards rather than long-term consequences. The last red flag from an employer’s perspective would be high liberalism. With a score of 49 in liberalism, it shows that I am not scared to let people know my opinion when things are not fair. I am fine with challenging the norms and that can make things complicated. I would hope that my strengths would outweigh the weaknesses in the end.
