Experiencing Discrimination with a Company you know!!

If you learned that your favorite company was faced with a public lawsuit in which they were accused of discrimination against individuals from an ethnicity, culture, or belief system you associate with, it would be very hard to think the same about the company from here on out.

I think this influences many different thoughts about the company because you could simply say they disagree or do not follow the personal morals that you believe in. It would be very hard to support something that commits actions you would never even think about committing. When it comes to beliefs, I don’t necessarily think you can completely change your opinion on someone or something just because they believe in different things than you do. However, when it comes to discrimination in any form, it is very easy to understand and grasp the fact that the organization or person is not worth supporting because that has nothing to with morals, instead it has to do with the equality, respect, and fairness that a company offers to employees or customers. If there is discrimination present in an organization, you only have the right to assume that customers may even be discriminated too.

This would become a clear decision for me in that I would no longer support the company if this lawsuit was filed. If I really liked the company and they were able to make major improvements from discrimination, there is a chance I would slightly support them in the future. I don’t think there is any reason for me to work for a company where discrimination might be present.
