- Why did you choose to go into Computer Science?
I have had a deep interest in computers since I played on my first Game Boy, but it was my Dad bringing home a PS2 that really accelerated my interest in computers. I’ve been obsessed with video games and technology in general since then, unfortunately, my other deep interest was with History, so getting my first degree in History was a given, however, I did not have a big interest in finding a career with a History degree, so I jumped back into this post-bacc program!
My goal is to create immersive media experiences in games/AR/VR that help me to share my fascination with technology/history with others. - Why did you choose the projects you did on the survey? What makes them interesting to you?
The projects I chose were as follows:
AR Arcade Classics, ML Breakout and AR Popup Storybook Companion App
I chose the projects available on the survey because I want to work on video games/film, with a focus on AR/VR, so those projects all will assist in developing skills related to those industries/technologies. - What do you hope to learn from your project?
I hope to discover my own limitations as it relates to creating media experiences/interfacing with new technologies involving AR/VR and see if there is anything I should focus on as I seek a career. - What type of person are you, in terms of a group dynamic?
I consider myself a collaborator! I love to “fill in the gaps” so to speak, and am happy to take on increased workload if it means that we can more quickly create the things we imagine!
