The job market out there is tough. You heard getting into software engineering is lucrative, so with your non-computer science degree, you decide to start applying to jobs. You soon notice that places will pass you up for jobs or even interviews because you do not have a computer science degree. And that is where Oregon State University comes in. That online computer science degree really puts you on a more level playing field with other applicants. The getting an interview, and a job, will still be hard. But, you will be able to knock out a barrier with what Oregon State University will give you. So, it is worth it in my opinion. The long nights, the cramming of information, and the juggling of multiple responsibilities. The information at this school is foundational and you will be able to take it to your next employer. Nothing beats a stepping stone to improve your life and have a skillset that will help you do well in your job. I have gained a lot from this school and if you choose to come here, you will too.
