Self-Reflection

  1. I am good at identifying flaws in a given process or system to allow it to increase the efficiency of something or simplify a task. I am also good at communication, verbally and written when it comes to important things in the workplace. Another one of my strengths is learning quickly and being able to adapt to situations.
  2. I value keeping promises and being reliable to my commitments. I also value relationships and being able to be on good terms with everyone I encounter, but of course except for the ones who don’t deserve a good relationship. I also value following the rules to a certain extent and not purposely not following the rules just to get my way. I am also generous and I think being generous will bring you more fortune in this life rather than being cheap.
  3. I got here by working hard and dedicating a sufficient amount of time to my work and school work. I also, fortunately, had a very supportive family in any given circumstance and made the right choices to get in the position I am in today.
  4. To be honest, I don’t really know exactly where I am going, but I want to be able to obtain a job that allows me to live a comfortable life. I will continue to work hard and dedicate my time to my craft. I eventually want to open up a business but I don’t know exactly what that would be yet. When I am living comfortable, I want to open up a restaurant just for fun and to take up some of my time in my later years.

Hey Faris,

I thought the way you described what you are good at and what you value was great. It is important to be able to effectively orate your strengths, especially when applying and interviewing for jobs. Based off of your answers, you seem like a hard-worker, and a good communicator who is trustworthy and values others opinions. Thank you for sharing, nice post!

I think you did a really good job of analyzing and reflecting on yourself! I also put a lot of value on the relationships in my life, it is nice to see someone else that values them so highly. I think this is an okay time in your life to not know exactly where you are going. College is a time where you are supposed to find your direction, but that doesn’t mean you have to know exactly where you are going to go. I hope you find an opportunity that you are excited about and will help you to find a business idea that you are interested in starting.

Hi Farris!

I think you did a great analysis of who you are! I really agree with a lot of the values that you identified. I also wrote about valuing relationships, you brought up a good point about being on good terms with everyone with a few exceptions. This is a great outlook to have! I can also completely relate to you on not knowing exactly what my path will be going forward. I think you will have a lot of options and I hope you have an exciting and successful career! Great post, thanks for sharing!
