5:45 to 6:15 pm: Those Darned Socks: Fixing Holes – Many times, socks, jackets, and sweaters are working great, until you wear through the toe, elbow, or snag them on something. Darning is a method of fixing holes using only thread, rather than sewing a patch on. Drop by the Clothing repair station to see how it’s done. (Leader: Amanda Abbott, volunteer with the Waste Watchers)

6:15 to 6:45 pm: Unbound: Basic Book Repair – While the knowledge we can learn from a book may last a lifetime, the book itself certainly does not. With continual use books are susceptible to damage, wear and loose pages. Come to the Household repair station to learn a few easy book repair tips and tools, extending the life of some of your favorite stories.  (Leader: Kyle Knight, Waste Reduction Projects Coordinator for the Student Sustainability Initiative)

6:45 to 7:15 pm: Make Your Own Used T-Shirt Bag – Drop by the Clothing repair station to learn how to reduce waste by making an old T-shirt into a reusable bag using a quick and easy no-sew technique! Leave with your very own reusable shopping bag along with the know-how to make more at home. All supplies provided, but feel free to bring your own shirt if you have one you’d like to use.  (Leader: Andrea Norris, Marketing & Development Coordinator for Campus Recycling).
