The Neighborhood Sustainability Steward (NSS) volunteer training is an eight week course with a focus on household sustainability: energy reduction, food systems, landscapes, transportation, waste reduction, and more. Course participants agree to give back volunteer hours in community outreach helping others save money, resources and reducing our community carbon footprint. Volunteer time can be in outreach education, individual projects, or partnering with other sustainability program projects in town (Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, Master Recyclers, Block Captains, and others). Course fee $50 for materials, but options available if cost is an issue. Bring a friend, share materials and split the cost. We also have scholarships available.
