Looking to gain hands-on experience, build career-ready skills, and make a meaningful impact on campus? The Sustainability Office is hiring for two student intern positions: a Student Engagement Intern and a Marketing & Graphic Design Intern. Both roles offer flexible schedules and the opportunity to work on real sustainability initiatives that shape the OSU community.
Sustainability Office Student Engagement Intern
If you’re passionate about connecting with people and building sustainable communities, this role puts you at the center of sustainability efforts on campus. This position emphasizes key career-readiness skills, including communication, teamwork, leadership, and equity & inclusion.
What you’ll do:
- Support student-led sustainability projects by connecting peers with resources
- Serve as a primary point of contact for student inquiries
- Plan and execute campaigns, events, and outreach efforts
- Collaborate with campus partners like ASOSU and Faculty Senate
- Help coordinate OSU’s participation in the Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference
- Support initiatives like the Carbon Reduction Grant program
This position works approximately 8-15 hours per week (academic year & summer). Starting pay is $16/hour.
Sustainability Office Marketing & Graphic Design Intern
Love creating content, designing visuals, or managing social media? This role is perfect for students interested in storytelling, branding, and digital media. This role will build professional experience in communication, teamwork, and equity & inclusion, while developing a strong portfolio of creative work.
What you’ll do:
- Design graphics, social media content, and print materials
- Manage and grow OSU Sustainability’s presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and the Ecologue blog
- Update website content using Drupal
- Create the bi-weekly Sustainability at OSU newsletter
- Analyze engagement metrics and improve outreach strategies
- Assist with event promotion, planning, and tabling
This position works approximately 10–12 hours per week during the academic year and up to 20 hours per week in summer. Starting pay is $16/hour.
