In its latest adventure, the Solar Trailer made a special appearance at the Oregon Country Fair! For all three days of the event, the Trailer powered the Dance Pavilion, Stewardship Area, and other locations at Xavanadu Camp. On Sunday, free phone charging was also offered.

Student employees Salah Miller, Max Novak, and Ava Wright, along with Brandon Trelstad, the Oregon State Sustainability Officer, were able to answer many questions about the Sustainability Office and Solar Trailer. They had lots of fun engaging with other fair-goers and exploring all the event has to offer.

“My favorite part about the Oregon Country Fair was the drum circle”, Salah commented. He adds, “I also loved discussing sustainability with younger kids who were curious about the Trailer!”

“I appreciate that the Trailer provided us with both power and shade at this off-grid event. I’m glad everyone was able to enjoy the Dance Pavilion”, Max says.

Brandon notes, “I’m glad we were able to cover all of the Xavanadu area this year, and I look forward to powering more at this event in the future.”
