The OSU Sustainability Office is hiring two positions, a graphic design student and a marketing and outreach student! The graphic designer will develop print and digital visuals, while the marketing and outreach student will deliver marketing and outreach material via the web and in person, and coordinate event planning. Work schedules for both positions can be flexible but must remain responsive to workload.

Graphic Design Student
The successful candidate will work up to 30 hours per week during summer and 5-20 hours per week during the academic year, depending on workload, performing the following tasks:
- Graphic design
- Design print media, digital media and other visual elements to support various sustainability related projects and programs
- Coordinate production of printed materials
- Adhere to OSU style guides in creating media
- Web
- Help manage the Sustainability Office’s web and social
media presence
- Help manage the Sustainability Office’s web and social
- Photography/Videography
- Photograph events, activities and locations for promotional
use and manage a cloud storage folder of sustainability related
photography - Produce videos as required featuring sustainability projects
and events
- Photograph events, activities and locations for promotional
- Other related duties as assigned
Marketing and Outreach Student
The successful candidate will work 20-30 hours per week during summer and 10-20 hours per week during the academic year on the following:
- Assist with events and coordinate event planning
- Coordinate and plan campaigns and events that showcase sustainability programs and projects to diverse audiences.
- Assist graphic designer with design of tabling and display materials
- Manage tabling materials and swag inventory
- Staff display tables and coordinate tabling schedules for other staff
- Social media and web content management
- Play a lead role in updating and expanding the OSU sustainability website (Drupal)
- Maintain a robust social media presence including the OSU sustainability blog (WordPress), Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; be proactive in creating content and setting outreach goals
- Create written material that documents OSU’s progress toward sustainability
- Analyze social media successes and opportunities via detailed web analytics
- Green Office Certification (GOC) program management
- Monitor and score GOC survey submissions; coordinate awards and recognition
- Perform outreach and marketing for the GOC
- Edit the GOC survey in Qualtrics
- Sustainability at OSU newsletter management
- Create the bi-weekly Sustainability at OSU newsletter using MailChimp
- Update the Sustainability at OSU email list
- Collaborate with other OSU sustainability-related groups and, at times, community groups.
