On May 14th at 7pm, the Spring Creek Project is hosting Sandra Steingraber, who will be performing her lecture, Fighting with Your Whole Heart: Human Rights and the new science on Fracking, at the Whiteside Theatre. Steingraber will discuss the scientific literature that shows a strong link between fracking and cancer as well as the environmental justice implications of the current energy industry.
Doors open at 6pm, so come early to enjoy some wine from Cardwell Hill Cellars while viewing the pop-up gallery show, Unsilenced: Art and Sounds of Resistance. This exhibit features local and national artists. Also between 6pm and 7pm, you can come listen to Jan Michael Looking Wolf and Dana Reason perform a special original song, while you peruse Grass Roots Books & Music’s selection of Sandra Steingraber’s books.
