Did you know that last year we diverted about 23,000 lbs of material from the landfill and gave it to local non-profits? This year we’re hoping to reach 28,000 lbs, and you can help!
How You Can Help
Living in a Residence Hall?
Many residents find that they have more in their room than can fit in their ride home. And deciding what to keep is hard when you’re taking finals! Here’s some tips to help you pair down and lighten your load:
- Visiting home soon? Bring stuff with you!
- Donate unwanted clothing in your laundry room.
- Eat the food you have before buying more.
You can also donate unwanted or extra items into the donation bins located in the first floor lobby of each hall. Donation bins will enter Res. Halls starting week 9 and will remain up through final’s week.

Volunteer
You can assist with the donation drive June 15th-22nd where you can help with receiving and sorting material with Campus Recycling staff in the warehouse or by joining our crew to go out on routes! For details on shift times and to view the sign-up sheet follow this link.
