The final results are in from our very first electricity reduction competition put on by the Eco-representatives of the Oregon State University’s residence halls.
The Kilowatt Crackdown was a month long competition with weekly tips on how to reduce electricity consumption. The Eco-reps of West, Sackett, Wilson, McNary, and Poling Hall educated residents in their halls about how to turn out the lights, walk the stairs, unplug electronics, and more energy saving tips.
As the weeks went on, we saw an overall drop in energy usage in almost every hall participating. And the overall results….
Poling Hall will be presented with a plaque to hang in their lounge in honor of being the Kilowatt Crackdown Champions!
