Now’s the time to sign-up for the 2016 Linn and Benton Master Recycler class offered by Republic Services and OSU Campus Recycling – act soon to secure your spot!
When: 8 required classes on Tuesday nights, January 13th through March 3rd at 6:15-9:00 pm plus 2 required Saturday field trips (tentatively scheduled for January 23rd and February 20th) and 1 optional Friday field trip (tentatively scheduled for February 5, 8 am – 3 pm).
Where: On the OSU campus (classroom TBA)
What: This once-per-week, 8-week class will explore landfill science, recycling, waste reduction, reuse opportunities, composting, community sustainability, green building, hazardous waste and taking action. It is free to residents of Linn and Benton County who agree to “pay back” what they learned through 30 hours of volunteer service after completion of the course.
