Are you interested in making a difference in your community? Do you want to learn more about climate change and what you can do to help? OSU Extension’s innovative Neighborhood Sustainability Stewards volunteer program brings people together to talk about what steps to take. The goals of the program are to get people talking about climate change and give them the tools to make their homes more sustainable and to live more sustainable lives.

Lights

Throughout this 8-week course, participants will learn about climate change science, transportation options, energy conservation, sustainable food systems, waste reduction, water conservation, sustainable gardening and landscaping, ecosystems and habitats, outreach and volunteering.

The course will meet on Monday evenings starting January 26th, 2015. The cost of the course is only $20 and includes field trip transportation. Don’t forget, the registration deadline is coming up on January 12th, so make sure to spread the word!
