Be Bright! Be Seen! is an annual collaborative event put on by the joint forces of Oregon State University and the City of Corvallis in an effort to increase bicyclist and pedestrian safety around campus and Corvallis. The campaign encourages those who use alternative modes of transportation to stay illuminated while walking or biking as a way to stay out of danger from motor vehicles.

This Wednesday, October 30th, members of the Oregon State University team will be tabling in the quad from 11-2. They will be dispensing free bike lights and other “bright” swag to OSU students and staff members. They will also be providing information for bicyclists, pedestrians, and motor vehicle operators on how to make the streets of Corvallis a safer place.

In addition, The OSU Sustainability Office, Student Sustainability Initiative, Campus Public Safety, and the Alternative Transportation Advisory Committee will serving as partners at the event supplying staff and students with valuable transportation information.
