The 2013 Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference will take place January 31 — February 1, 2013 at the Smith Memorial Student Union at Portland State University.
Three important developments have occurred recently.
- The deadline for session proposals (PDF) has been extended to at least Nov.2. Presentations can be 20, 30 or 60 minutes with 15 minutes of question and answer time in each 75 minute block. If you have questions or are on the fence about submitting a proposal and would like to be connected with someone else at OSU or another Oregon institution to collaborate, contact Brandon.
- David Kenney has been chosen as the keynote speaker. David has led Oregon BEST, a non-profit that is a nexus for clean technology innovation and commercialization.
- Conference registration is also now open, and the early bird discount is on until Monday, Dec.3!
This year, the conference will include community colleges and private colleges and universities for the first time. The planning team is led by PSU and includes representatives from OSU, UO, OHSU, PCC, Lewis and Clark and others. It will be Oregon’s most collaborative and comprehensive higher education sustainability event yet!
