Check out the creative natural sculpture coming to People’s Park this month!
Patrick Dougherty, sculptor of the currently coalescing Wild Willow display, has made his large outdoor sculptures in over 200 locations in the United States, France, Italy, Mexico, Germany, and many other countries. His design is unique in that he has chosen sculpture materials growing all around us!
Patrick uses sticks, branches, twigs and trees to weave elaborate and intricate fantasies that are often as amusing as they are awe inspiring. Volunteer opportunities to help Patrick are still open!
Also, Patrick will be doing a presentation at LaSells Stewart Center on October 18th at 5:30 p.m. in Construction Engineering Hall. There will also be a Public Reception in the Agriculture Production Room at 7:00 p.m. Please join in celebrating Patrick’s great work!
This project is supported by the College of Liberal Arts in Collaboration with the Environmental Humanities Initiative.
