SSI looking for new Fee Board Member

The OSU Student Sustainability Initiative looking for one new fee board member, and applications are due Monday, August 8th, at 5:00 PM. This volunteer position is open to students in good standing taking at least 6 credits per term, and is one of five individuals responsible for managing the $500,000 Incidental Sustainability Fee, appropriating grants, conducting long-term visioning for the SSI, and constructing the SSI’s annual budget. The OSU Student Sustainability Initiative looking for one new fee board member. Applications are due Monday!

This volunteer position is one of five voting members of the OSU Student Sustainability Initiative Fee Advisory Board. The board is charged with managing revenue generated by the OSU Incidental Sustainability Fee (currently ~$500,000/yr). While technically the governing body for the SSI, the Fee Board concerns itself primarily with:

  • Management of the SSI Grant, Student Wage, Student Travel, and Sustainable Energy Revolving Loan Funds.
  • Long-term visioning and shepherding of student sustainability efforts at OSU.
  • Constructing the SSI’s yearly budget.

The position of fee board member requires no more than five hours per week, and often requires as little as two.
