Current and Former Graduate Students

I have worked with many graduate students since taking on my first advisee in 2005. My primary goal in advising students is to help them define and pursue publishable research questions that contribute to the growing knowledge base in environmental and natural resource economics. Most of my students gain experience with applying microeconomic theory, micro-econometric tools, environmental economics principles, and computational skills to the analysis of primary and secondary datasets.

In addition to working with graduate students, I manage our course-based undergraduate research program for majors in Environmental Economics and Policy (EEP) and Agricultural and Food Business Management Program (AFBM). I regularly supervise multiple undergraduate research projects every year in spring term. Interested undergraduates should plan to enroll in AEC 446 Introduction to Applied Econometrics in winter term, which will provide them with the skills needed to do the course-based undergraduate research in the spring term.
