On December 13, the City Club of Eugene hosted a forum on asset poverty and invited me to give a presentation.
The talk (1) defined assets/wealth and the theoretical reasons why wealth is distinct from income, (2) briefly reviewed the most common ways of measuring asset poverty and highlights research from our group on child asset poverty, and (3) provided some thoughts on asset poverty in Oregon.
- I uploaded the slides HERE (pdf).
- KLCC later broadcasted the talk and City Club of Eugene uploaded video to Youtube.
