I’ve always been the person to stress a lot about all things, whether they are in my control or not. There were some questions in the skills test when after reading them, my reaction would be, “oh yeah, that’s definitely me.” The skills test did determine that I am aware of how to cope with my stress, however, a lot of my stress comes from things that are out of my control. I would say this is very accurate because like another question asked, I am the type of person to problem solve when issues arise. With stressors that are out of my control, I’ll continue thinking about them and letting them distract me. When taking the impatience and irritability survey, I was described to have a moderate score, and having a type A behavior pattern can be an issue in relationships. Although that is kind of sad to hear, it’s very accurate in the sense that when things bother me, I prefer to not say anything and let myself get more frustrated.

There are a handful of mental and physical health concerns that businesses have such as obesity, high blood pressure, depression, and heart disease. All these diseases are linked to each other or be a symptom. If employees go to work while also dealing with these issues, they might not be able to perform as well as expected. To cope with these issues, organizations will have perks and benefits that encourage employees to take care of themselves. For example, the company my sister works for reimburses her for gym payments and while the company I work for helps employees pay for the weight watchers program. If employees take advantage of these perks, it gives them resources for self-care and ideally lowers their stress allowing them to perform better.
