someone once told me pay attention to what people photograph. they are things that people want to preserve forever. you’ll find three of my four loved ones that this blog is dedicated to. enjoy this little sneak peak into my life.

this is my first family dog, cinder. she fought cancer for three years, too, passing away just seven weeks after mama. whether you were eating, hugging, or chatting, she was right in the center. her favorite thing was to chase a laser pointer. she shared mama’s sweet spirit and love of people.

this is my grandma and grandpa. he passed on in july. he served in the United State Army as a mechanic, drove race cars, and was a devoted father and grandpa. he loved anything with a motor in it and was quite the handyman. my grandma is a calm and gentle spirit, loyal until the end.

this is poppy, whom we adopted on pi day, march 14. she is an absolute menace and full of personality. first thing in the morning, she must be stretched and given belly rubs. my boyfriend is her favorite person. poppy is very intelligent, but we’ve only mastered “sit.” she’s sassy and fearless. she’s also very soft and has napkins for ears.
