The OSU Extension Service’s Monthly Garden Calendars were first published in December 2020, and reviewed in 2025. It’s also worth looking at the OSU Garden Future link. This is a project that is gathering information on the effects of a shifting climate, particularly as observed by Oregon gardeners.
I point this out since this fall’s “rainy season” seems to be mild in the Gold Beach area. None the less, be sure to check for drainage problems since heavy rains are bound to come, and consult the garden calendars below for the many other tasks a gardener can do over the winter. These links contain helpful tips for gardening, pest monitoring and management, and timing for spring plantings.
