Learning new programming languages and frameworks

It is very common for software engineer to pick up a new language and new framework in relative short period of time. Can’t I just learn a popular language, become a  professional and stick with it for the rest of my career? Maybe yes, but different languages and it own advantages and limitations and sometime business needs to use one language in certain services and needs another one for a different service. Due to different needs for different purpose, it is more than likely in the future as a software engineer, I will be required to pick up a project in a language and framework that I/m not familiar with.

Although I’m have not worked as a full time software engineer, I was required to work on two projects in different languages during my first internship. I was worried about it since I have no JAVA experience, but soon I find myself enjoying the learning experience. The most important thing I learned is how to search for resources and get the code to work and then optimized my code after I become familiar with it. Don’t be afraid to learn and implement new things, keep trying, keep building!
