Ready for spring registration? If you haven’t planned your spring courses yet, make sure to connect with your advisor by the end of the month. Also, as you’ll see this week, we’ve got some guest speakers from OHSU, career development and scholarship application workshops, and more! Pre-PA Club Guest Speaker

The OSU Pre-PA Club is glad to host an Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) admissions rep via zoom to go over their PA program. Please join on Monday, February 9 at 6 PM in STAG 160, and for more updates and club meetings, follow the Pre-PA Club on Insta @prepa_osu.

Period Club Guest Speaker

Come learn more about medical pathways from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) physician, Maureen Baldwin (MD, MPH), on Wednesday, February 18 from 5-6 PM in MU 206! Dr. Baldwin will speak on her work at OHSU and her career as a practicing physician, clinic lead, and researcher as well as her international service, advocacy work, and local provider training. MU Lanes & Games

Come chat with COH faculty and get to know your peers! Enjoy snacks, prizes, and bowling at the MU Lanes & Games on Wednesday, February 18 from 4-5:45 PM! Scholarship Leads

The OSU Retirement Association Scholarship is accepting apps until Sunday, February 15 via ScholarDollars. Ideal applicants are currently enrolled undergrads who’ve completed at least one year at OSU with a minimum GPA of 3.4, have at least one year of study remaining, and have career goals related to supporting healthy aging.

Virtual Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop

Calling all COH students! Join the Writing Center staff to learn strategies to jumpstart your scholarship application. In this workshop, we’ll focus on brainstorming and early drafting in response to scholarship essay prompts. You’ll also learn effective strategies for identifying and describing activities, experiences, and career goals to highlight in scholarship essays. This virtual workshop is offered next Monday, February 16 from 12-1 PM; please sign up for the Jumpstart Your Scholarship Essay Process workshop here.

We’ve got two (2) career fairs coming up, friends: the Winter Health, Business & Public Service Fair on Wednesday, February 11 from 11 AM-3 PM at CH2M Hill Alumni Center and the Nonprofit and Community Engagement Fair on Wednesday, February 18 from 11-2 PM in the MU Ballroom.
