Fall 2025 Academic Deadlines

Friday, November 14 @ Noon: last day to change the grading basis of a class (A-F to S/U or vice versa; here’s the COH S/U policy)

Friday, November 14 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from a class (no tuition refund)

Friday, December 5 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from the term

KIN PTAH Reminder: If Taking KIN 343 & KIN 344 in Winter, Apply by October 31
For any Kinesiology majors who are officially undertaking the PTAH option (i.e., the option has been added to your degree plan) and hoping to take KIN 343 (PTAH Seminar) and KIN 344 (PTAH Practicum) this winter, this is a reminder that the deadline to apply for each of these is no later than Friday, October 31; however, the suggested deadline is no later than Thursday, October 30. KIN 343/KIN 344 will also be offered in the spring. Questions may go to the PTAH coordinator, Emily Norcross.

Fit Together: Speed Friending at Dixon Rec
Are you the type who likes exercising with a friend? Are you just looking to meet new people? In either case, opportunity awaits you: on Wednesday, October 29 from 5-6:30 PM in Dixon Recreation Center, your Fitness and Wellness representatives are putting on Fit Together, a fun, paced event to meet new friends and feel supported while working out. The event is free to attend; registration info is in the graphic below.

Info Session: Study Abroad in Puerto Rico This Spring
Interested in studying abroad and looking for suggestions? Consider Puerto Rico! On Thursday, October 30 at 4 PM in STAG 240 and via Zoom, the faculty leaders for this meaningful week-long experience will give you all the details and answer all your questions. This opportunity is open to any undergraduate student and ideal for those with interests in public health, nutrition, and sustainability. For Public Health majors, this experience can count towards internship credit.

Upcoming Conference: Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA)
The 2026 SUMMA Conference is happening at Stanford University on Saturday, February 7, so now’s the time to register! SUMMA is a coalition of Stanford Medical Students representing a wide array of minority backgrounds and professional organizations; it’s a great way to learn more about medical school directly from the experts. If interested, consider applying for the COH Student Conference Travel Scholarship by November 16 for potential funding! If you have questions about SUMMA, please contact Greg Vaughn.

COH Course Finder: Find the Right Class Fast
COH now has a handy-dandy Course Finder! The courses therein have brief, helpful descriptions, and you may search by Core Ed or Bacc Core category filters to discover fun, interesting classes open to all majors (some of which double-dip!). Explore topics such as health, well-being, equity, sustainability, and much more.
