Sunday, October 12 @ 11:55 PM: last day to add a course with instructor approval (make requests by Thursday, October 9 if possible)
Sunday, October 19 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from a class and receive a 50% tuition refund (a W will appear on your transcript but won’t affect your GPA)
Friday, November 14 @ Noon: last day to change the grading basis of a class (A-F to S/U or vice versa; here’s the COH S/U policy)
Friday, November 14 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from a class (no tuition refund)
Friday, December 5 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from the term

Family Well-Being for the Great Good (Research for Families and Communities)
Join us for the first of the free Campbell Lecture Series this term on Friday, October 10 from 1-2 PM in HFC 115. Dr. Maryam Abdullah, a developmental psychologist and Director of the Greater Good Science Center at UC-Berkeley, will speak on how recent research can be applied to increase resources and foster parenting education for families and communities. Also, light refreshments will be offered!

Beavs Serve is Open for Apps!
Ready to expand your leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem solving skills while serving your community? Consider applying for Beavs Serve between now and October 13! Part of OSU’s Community Engagement & Leadership, Beavs Serve is a cohort-based, service learning and leadership program offering students a holistic look into social issues affecting the Corvallis community. Running Weeks 2-10, students engage in hands-on learning while reflecting on who they are as leaders. This fall entails working with three different community partners: SAGE (social issue: environmental justice), Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis (social issue: youth literacy), and the Grace Center for Adult Day Services (social issue: intergenerational connections). PAC: Earning Credit for Staying Active
Interested in working in some kind of workout this term? Learn to dance, mountain bike, paddle board, bowl, lift weights, administer CPR, and much more while earning credit in a fun, low-stress setting. Physical Activity Courses (PACs) are small, hands-on classes that build your fitness, skills and confidence. Open to all levels and abilities, PACs are offered in person or online. Kaiser Permanente Annual Med Career Conference (Free!)
Kaiser Permanente is hosting its second annual Medical Career Conference on Saturday, November 1 from 8 AM-5 PM in Hillsboro. The conference, which is designed for college students who are aspiring medical professionals, is free of charge and includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks on the house. Health, Business, and Public Service Fair
A new term means new career and internship opportunities! Join us and register for the Health, Business, and Public Service Fair on Wednesday, October 15 from 11 AM-3 PM in the CH2M Hill Alumni Center. Whether you’ve never been to a career fair before, or whether you’re set on bringing copies of your resume and networking, all are welcome!

Career Connections Survey
Career Connections is an upcoming COH event designed to help you build practical skills and gain confidence as you network with professionals in the field. Your input as a COH student is invaluable in helping us shape the event based on your needs.
