December Events for COH Students
Check out the COH events calendar to see what’s happening these days! Here are some coming up:
Holiday Toy Drive
Want to help make someone’s holiday more special? Military & Veteran Resources and ASOSU are co-sponsoring a toy drive between now and Friday, December 13. Please consider contributing a toy for a child of any age (i.e., requesting actual toys, puzzles, and games rather than gift cards). The drop-off location is in the Holcomb Center for Military and Veteran Resources in Snell Hall.
Apply for a Student Stipend for a Public Health Project
The University of Washington’s Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (NWCPHP) is funding 20 public health practice projects for juniors and seniors this academic year to aid underserved populations, including student-faculty collaborative projects and projects based in the field. If you’re interested in this excellent experiential learning opportunity, check out the NWCPHP website to determine your eligibility and access the application.
Welcoming New Academic Advisors!
As some of you already know, the COH Office of Student Success (OSS) gladly welcomed Maria José Solis (she/her/ella) and David Trinidad (he/him/his), both of whom joined our team last month! David and Maria offer a wealth of experience in the realms of teaching, academic advising, program support, and much more. Currently, Maria and David are having COH students assigned to them; if you’ll be one of their advisees, they’re looking forward to meeting you!
ScholarDollars Now Accepting Scholarship Applications
ScholarDollars is now live and accepting applications for a variety of scholarships through March 16, 2025! Just one application form will automatically match you for scholarships for which you’re potentially eligible. Please contact the new COH scholarship coordinator, Luanne Carrillo-Avalos, with questions (scholarships.coh@oregonstate.edu).
