This week I had the shocking realization that in about two weeks, I will have graduated and be fully fledged computer science graduate. The thought alone makes me queasy with both excitement and dread, but life goes on! And so I keep chugging along and figuring it out as I go!
Friday
I emailed back a job position that was offered and I’ll be talking to the director in a few days to talk about the program. I have already accepted another program within this agency, but wanted to make sure I gave the other program a listen to see if potentially it might be better? Also, the first time since week 2 where I was able to start my cloud development project earlier. This week, we worked on more OAuth.
Saturday
A day primarily spent on working on cloud development, but then quickly transitioned into working on my capstone project. This day I was able to finish my first room so that it is playable. I meant to implement my ASCII art, but got carried away with trying to implement a way to make “look at” work. However, one of my partners worked on the same verb, but with better implementation. This was a stark reminder that communication is key, haha.
Sunday
Pushed my work to our github repository and went immediately back to working on cloud development. Thankfully, it was mostly built on our last project and finagling around with settings on the Google Platform.
Monday
Did not have much time this day to work on school stuff as I needed to catch up on my second job responsibilities. Oops!
Tuesday
Met up with the team and we were shocked by how much we have accomplished thus far, and how much we have left to do. In general, we realized that we were mostly done! Just the implementation of puzzles and rooms, but the meat and potatoes are there.
Wednesday
Nothing of note here on this day! Except declining a job interview! Sometimes you have to say no to a job if it doesn’t align with what you want to do. A big thing I have to get used to now especially coming out of the medical field.
Thursday
Another day to catch up on stuff for my second job.
