When starting out as a software dev, don’t get into the mindset that production of code is all that matters. It is also really important to continually invest in your knowledge portfolio. This in turn can make your production of work more efficient and thus higher. At the same time, it is easy to justify slow days by convincing yourself that you were doing ”research”. As with most things, balancing how much time you spend crushing tickets and how much time you spend learning and researching is a game of tradeoffs.
