Today, we had a peculiar bug show itself at work. It was one of those bugs that only appears intermittently, and is pretty challenging to replicate. Luckily the bug was replicable on certain accounts. I had a hunch as to what was causing the bug so I started looking in that area of the code. Unfortunately my hunch was completely off the mark. However, pursuing the bug allowed me to find the true culprit, which was an accidental duplication of an api route that had a slightly different contract. Sometimes hunches are good! Even if they are wrong.
