Welcome to the Bodhi Science Lab

Our team investigates life from diverse perspectives. We work at the intersection of biological and Buddhist thought, and integrate contemplative approaches into our research and lab culture. We study many living systems that currently include slugs, nematodes, mushrooms, and trees. We deploy many qualitative and quantitative analytical methods that currently include DNA sequencing, ethnobiological interviews, laboratory assays, and field-based biological research. Check out our Projects and Mission and Values pages to learn more about what we do and what we’re about. Check out the People page to see who we are.

Our lab is in the Department of Integrative Biology at Oregon State University, on
Kalapuyan Land. We are also part of the
OSU Contemplative Studies Initiative.
