Hassan Salmanroghani et. al., in their research paper titled: “Efficacy and tolerability of two quadruple regimens: bismuth, omeprazole, metronidazole with amoxicillin or tetracycline as first-line treatment for eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients with duodenal ulcer: a randomized clinical trial”, (2018) evaluates the efficacy of quadruple bismuth, omeprazole, and metronidazole regimen with amoxicillin or tetracycline for the treatment and eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients who have duodenal cancers and asserts that the quadruple regimen with amoxicillin provides better eradication of H. pylori (1). The authors evaluate the different quadruple regimens and provide evidence that the quadruple treatment that contains amoxicillin had higher rates of eradication of H. pylori compared to that of the quadruple regimen with tetracycline as the antibiotic of choice. The purpose of this clinical trial is to determine the efficacy of different quadruple regimen treatments in the eradication of H. pylori which is implicated in the diagnosis of duodenal cancer in order to determine the best course of action to help combat H. pylori infection. Salmanroghani et. al., establishes a scholarly relationship with those in the microbiological sciences and those in other biological sciences as well.
