Generations are not that important

Focus on the Person

Well, I do not have much experience working within a multigenerational workplace I have worked extensively within the workplace where I was working with no one outside of my generation and I felt that after listening to the stories of my classmates on Wednesday, as well as other stories from my time in college I have come to the conclusion that problems that exist inside of a multigenerational workplace are the same problems that exist in monogenreational workplace they just have new labels. For example, a complaint that I have often heard is that people of “older generations” complaining about their voices not being heard or people of “younger generations” feeling like their ideas go unnoticed or underappreciated.  I experience both of these situations at one of my workplaces however the feeling of anger did not prevent me from doing the same exact habits when it came to dealing with my younger co-workers or ignoring my older co-workers.

To reiterate the point of my title I do not think that generations really should play a part in a business and that trying to fit people into molds will only lead to disappointment when someone does not conform to the standards or ideas that you have set out for them.
