We sailed on an R/V Sikuliaq transit (cruise 202309T) from Seward to Nome on June 6th through 12th. The cruise track took us through the Aleutians and across the Bering Sea. Participants identified stations of interest at GAK1 (outside Resurrection Bay) and along the Bering part of the track. In total we collected measurements at 8 stations and conducted one small-boat launch. Measurements included CTD profiles and water sampling, van veen grab samples, multicores, and underway sampling. During small-boat work, participants collected hydrography data from the Yukon River plume. The weather was generally favorable for work. Some complications related to docking and loss of internet services in Nome (due to a severed seafloor fiber optic cable in the Arctic) provided an opportunity to adapt plans at the end of the trip. In total we collected measurements to support over 20 different types of analyses to serve work spanning more than nine disciplines.
