With midterms and projects filling up my plate over the past couple of weeks, I have found myself learning more than ever in my new major. And although the stress of school can be a lot, I feel like week 6 has really shown me that I am in the right place for me. A theme in our readings for the week that I noticed was that it is okay to look into the past to gain inspiration for the future. So many of the greatest creatives have taken things that have been done before and transformed them into new found masterpieces while respecting the origin.This can, and has, lead to some debates about whether or not it’s considered copyright, but I think it’s all part of the creative process. Opportunities for innovation are all around us and I’m excited to see all of the companies incorporating the design mindset into their brands for the better.
